Retro, vintage or classic arcade games can be games for consoles or computers alike.
They are generally considered to be games produced before the N64 or Sony Playstation (PS1/PSX), some people say retro is before the SNES or Megadrive, but in reality it comes down to basic nostalgia.. Some ‘cynics’ class retro games as games that are fondly remembered but no longer played.
In essence what it really comes down to is personal opinion, if it feels retro to you, then retro it is. Any game that is rendered in 2D, or uses low resolution graphics can be classed as retro. Any games consol that is no longer made can be classed as retro, Atari, Commodore, Nintendo or Sega Megadrive.
