When it comes to the video gaming industry, there are two different types of video gamers in this world. The first video gamer is the one that plays on nothing but videogame consoles, while the second type of video gamer lives for the excitement of an arcade game. Now, on this website, we tend to focus more towards the digital video gaming systems. So even though operated games such as pinball, have been around since the 1930s, we are only talking about the arcade style games that started in the 1970s.

The first ever arcade game was created in 1971 for the students at Stanford University. This videogame was known as the Galaxy Game. It would not be uncovered until the 1980s, when the arcade video game systems would become the biggest fad in the video gaming industry. These were the times when games such as Space Invaders, Galaxian and Pac-Man would become very highly popular amongst the video gamers of the time.

With all the latest and greatest technology being built up inside of arcade games versus that of what can be found in a small home video gaming system, the arcade games would continue to grow, even till today. In response to this high number of arcade games and popularity of the games themselves, we have decided to include on this website information on over 4000 arcade games that have become a popular part of the video gaming industry.
